Mission Statement:
Define guidelines for awarding annual scholarships to students at UAH, Athens State University, Oakwood University, and Alabama A&M; HASBAT POY and YPOY, and Small Business Advocate of the Year (define guidelines, solicit nominations, organize award presentation).

HASBAT POY & YPOY

Also under the direction of HASBAT's Awards and Scholarships Committee are its Professional and Young Professional of the Year honorees. Members are nominated for the POY and YPOY awards by their peers - other members of HASBAT. The winner in each category is then recognized at the Huntsville Association of Technical Societies (HATS) annual POY dinner.

HASBAT's Awards and Scholarships Committee also oversees the nomination and selection process for the Small Business Advocate of the Year Award which is presented at the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber of Commerce Small Business Awards Celebration.
