MDA plans to conduct a Laser Scaling Industry Day, including one-on-one discussions with interested parties. MDA in partnership with the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) will hold a Laser Scaling Industry Day. The Laser Scaling Industry Day is scheduled for 23 April 2019 at MDA Headquarter, Fort Belvoir, VA. OUSD will present the overall approach for scaling development and contracting. MDA will present the Agency laser scaling unique needs and objectives, followed by an open question and answer (Q&A) session. The briefing and Q&A session are intended to set a common level of understanding of the expectations for the laser scaling effort and the associated challenges. Due to space considerations, participation is limited to no more than three (3) people from each responding company, business, or organization.
If responders wish to participate in a one-on-one session with the Government after the briefing, a request must be made to Ms. Rachael Gillentine, rachael.gillentine.ctr@mda.mil or Mr. Harris Brown, harris.brown@mda.mil, via email no later than 17 April 2019. One-on-one sessions are intended to provide responders an opportunity to ask clarification questions on the RFI as it relates to their concept or approach. Sessions will be scheduled in blocks at the convenience of the Government. Each of the assigned one-on-one sessions will be limited to thirty minutes.
Questions of a general and non-proprietary nature asked during one-on-one sessions that would enhance all responders’ understanding of Government requirements may be posted or emailed to all attendees (with corresponding Government responses).
Details for registering and attending the Laser Scaling Industry Day are listed below.
a. Registration: Send an email to Mr. Harris Brown, harris.brown@mda.mil no later than 17 April 2019. State your intent to attend the industry day and whether or not you want a one-on-one session. Provide the names of the people attending from your company, business, or organization. You will receive email instructions for getting to and accessing the MDA Headquarters.
b. Date and Time: 23 April 2019, 9:00- 11:00 A.M. EDT (One-on-one sessions 12:00 to 5:00 P.M.)

d. Visitor Request Instructions: All confirmed attendees for Industry Day must send their visit and clearance request no later than 17 April 2019. The Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS) is the preferred method for companies and organizations to submit visit requests. The following information must be included in all incoming Visit Authorization Requests (VAR)/Visit Authorization Letters (VAL):

iii. Clearance level, date clearance issued, type and date of investigation and granting organization
